Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn about Dragon Eagle TV/Radio and the APIA News Network. When I founded these platforms, I held a simple belief: stories can build bridges. They help us understand one another, celebrate our differences, and discover the values we share. They connect communities in ways that policy, distance, or language sometimes cannot.

My journey through broadcasting—first in Eastern media and later with the BBC—showed me the extraordinary power of storytelling. Media shapes identity. It shapes belonging. It shapes how we see ourselves and how we see each other. When I came to Detroit, I saw a need for a platform that would uplift AANHPI voices, celebrate our heritage, and foster genuine cross‑cultural understanding.

That vision became Dragon Eagle TV/Radio and APIANN.

Our emblem reflects that vision. The Dragon, representing Eastern cultures and traditions, and the Eagle, symbolizing the United States and Western ideals, come together in unity. Their embrace captures the heart of our mission: to build bridges between East and West through shared stories, shared pride, and shared humanity.

Over the years, our team has worked tirelessly to highlight the beauty, resilience, and contributions of the AANHPI community. We have produced original programs, interviewed leaders across sectors, and documented the cultural milestones that shape our collective story. Through it all, our purpose has remained the same: to ensure our community is seen, heard, and valued.

I am humbled that this work has been recognized nationally—with honors including the White House Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, U.S. Congressional recognition, U.S. Senatorial honors and numerous civic and cultural awards. These recognitions belong not only to me, but to every partner, volunteer, and supporter who believes in our mission.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, I am reminded that our nation’s story is still unfolding. And the AANHPI community is an essential part of that story. Through Dragon Eagle TV/Radio and APIANN, we will continue to uplift voices, expand representation, and build the cultural bridges that strengthen our shared future.
